LADY KRISHNA'S PEPPERMINT LOUNGE

Springing from the electric performance art and music counterculture of New York City, Natasha Lady Krishna thrilled audiences from the start. It didn't matter if she was standing under a bare lightbulb at the infamous Wah-Wah Hut backed by Fearless Lieder, or singing from an elaborate set at the prestigious La MaMa backed by guitarist David Chernis (Damnwells)- either way the result was an unforgettable show... .. After relocating to Seattle, Natasha began collaborating with Will Hallauer (Turn-Ons) on a set of colorful, romantically-themed songs. To produce the album they enlisted Hallauer's bandmate Erik Blood (praised for the sound he's achieved with the Lights, the Charming Snakes, and the Catch) and in 2004 completed and released Meet Me After the Show. Notable shows in support of this album included opening for the Scissor Sisters at the Showbox theatre and playing the sold-out and raucous Hedwig and the Angry Inch '05 New Year's bash at the Crocodile Cafe... .. In 2006 Lady Krishna and Will Hallauer were complimented by Joel Bergstrom (Black Nite Crash) on bass and Garrett Croxon (ex-Fleet Foxes) as drummer & Percussionist Jerry Peerson. The new lineup reunited with producer Erik Blood to record Hymn-Like Rapture and Pop Singles, a kaleidoscopic record with songs ranging from the serene to the feverish, from the romantic to the ominous.
